What’s cooking? La Brea Bakery Icon Nancy Silverton huddles with Mozza partners Mario and Joe at Tabla.

        Between dinner at Maialino and brunch at The Breslin, La Brea bakery icon Nancy Silverton huddled with her Mozza LA partners Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich at Tabla Saturday. Is a Manhatta Mozza imminent?  Or were they plotting a new move on the leftcoast? “I don’t think we would do anything to compete with what Mario and Joe have here.” Silverton said.

        First comes Mozza in Orange County, she added. And about the same time, Mozza is scheduled to open at the huge new Marina Bay Sands’ luxury resort and casino in Singapore, along with Daniel Boulud, Wolfgang Puck’s Cut, Guy Savoy, Santi Santamaria of Barcelona, and Tetsuya Wakuda from Sydney.  A trio of 55 floor towers with be connected by a 1,200 foot platform with a rooftop pool.

         Let’s hope no one spits out their chewing gum on the sidewalk. That’s a crime that calls for 20 lashes in Singapore.
